Description
This March we invite you to join us for a childhood favourite.. Snakes & Ladders.
We want you to start at the beginning of the Snakes & Ladders board and run your way to finish line, dodging those snakes and perhaps finding some of the ladders if you’re lucky.
We have provided two versions of the game and you can choose which one you want to play. You will receive a link to download these instructions and game boards in your order confirmation email.
Traditional Version:
The first is the traditional version of the game where a dice determines your moves. Whatever you roll, you must run and move yourself along the board. You can use up to 2 dice, which would see you running a maximum of 12km. If you want to make it easier you can use 1 dice (maximum 6km). You must be honest and run or walk what the dice determines even if it means landing on a snake! Continue to roll your dice throughout the month and progress up the board to the finish line. You do not need to roll the exact number to finish.
No Dice Version:
Prefer to manage your own risk?
The second version will give you a blank board without snakes or ladders. You determine your kms each day and move yourself across the board. HOWEVER, in this version if you want to advance up a “ladder” and gain free squares you must find a medium to large set of stairs and run up them. Each time you run up it you can advance forward on the board extra squares. Eg 5 full repats of stairs would advance you 5 extra squares on the board plus whatever kms you ran during your run. So 5kms with 5 stair repeats would be the equivalent of 10 squares. Snakes in this version are represented by rest days. A single rest day will not penalise you, however if you have more than one, you must go backwards on the board for the number of rest days you have. Two rest days in a row would see you back two squares, and so on.
