This April is all about the Kudos!

What are Kudos? According to Strava, “Kudos are a quick thumbs-up you can give to your fellow athletes to congratulate them on a noteworthy activity, achievement, post, badge, or challenge milestone”

Running, although a solo activity in its action, is very much about the community.

This April we want you to give back to the running community by dishing out some kudos to your fellow runners. We want you to become an encourager and for every kilometre you run or walk, we want you to give out that many kudos to other runners. So if you run or walk 5km, we want you to give out 5 kudos. If you complete 100km over the month, we want you to have given out 100 kudos.

If you’re not on Strava, you can still complete this challenge using our Mum Runner Monthly Running Challenges Facebook group  Although we do encourage you to sign up for Strava as its free and it will sync to your smart watch.

Who else is great at giving back to the running community?

Parkrun Australia! This challenge will be supporting Parkrun Australia with $5 from every entry donated to parkrun. Parkrun are amazing at giving back to the running community by hosting free weekly timed runs every Saturday which are run by dedicated teams of volunteers. As part of our Kudos challenge, if you live by a local parkrun, we would encourage you to volunteer at some point during the month of April and encourage your local community of runners.
